Playwell

A modern golf club built for play, work, and connection.

Playwell needed to introduce a new kind of golf experience in Toronto’s downtown financial district. Located at Bay and King in First Canadian Place, the brand had to speak to members, walk-ins, corporate groups, and professionals looking for a premium place to play, host, dine, and connect.

Unbound developed the brand foundation around A Modern Way to Play. The strategy positioned Playwell as an urban golf membership club with refined hospitality, indoor simulation, premium service, and a strong social element. Golf created the reason to visit. Food, drinks, events, and community created the reason to return.

The visual identity was designed to feel established and membership-driven from launch. Thin typography, generous white space, and a distinctive brand symbol created a polished club feel. The system was built for digital, social, merchandise, signage, interiors, corporate sales, and member communications.

The result was a launch-ready brand platform for a premium golf experience in the heart of Toronto’s business core. Playwell could speak to serious golfers, downtown professionals, corporate hosts, and social players with one clear promise: a more modern way to play.
