Kitchen Hub OOH & Retail Signage
Turning a new location into a destination, before it even opened.
For the opening of Kitchen Hub's Maple location, inside a Longo's grocery store and directly across from a major hospital, Unbound was brought in to design and produce a full signage system spanning OOH, street-level, parking, and on-site wayfinding.
Rather than defaulting to generic "coming soon" messaging, Unbound developed a custom illustration concept built for awareness, giving the new location personality ahead of opening day and introducing the individual brands operating inside. The location's context shaped the approach: with hospital staff, visitors, and grocery shoppers all passing by daily, the signage needed to capture attention quickly and communicate clearly to an audience with places to be.
A consistent visual language carried the concept from the roadside to the parking lot to the front door, turning what could have been an easy to miss storefront into a destination worth a second look.
Every touchpoint was designed to work together, building awareness for both the location and the brands housed within, so that by the time customers arrived, whether grabbing groceries or stepping out for a break, they already understood what made the place different.
